Registration Policies

PAYMENTS:

All payments or arrangements must be sent or set up, prior to first lesson of registered package of lessons.

For the silver packages, payments are due prior to first lessons and not withdrawal or refund are permitted.

For all packages students, late fees will apply after the 2nd week past due (1% of the total fees per week. After the 4th week, your registration will be cancelled and your account charged for registration fees, 4 weeks of lessons and penalty charges ($25)

All payments must be sent to Maggie Music Administration staff for processing. The software Mymusicstaff.com is the portal for all communication and processing. Payement schedules and status of account are accessible on the parent (or adult student) portal.

Installment payment is available only to diamond package registrants (either monthly or bi-weekly) and only after approval from the administrator

All withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing or via email to the Managing Partner: Guyonne Le Louarn: maggiemusicvictoria@gmail.com , Administration will contact the teachers and see if the withdrawal request is valid according to the rules below.

WITHDRAWALS:

IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT YOU ARE REQUESTING TIME FROM THE INSTRUCTOR, NOT A SERVICE; THEREFORE, TIME WILL BE PAID FOR NO MATTER WHAT.

Teacher spaces are limited, when you register, we ask that you hold on to the commitment for the registered period as we may have to switch a student to another instructor because of lack of time and space.

New Students (i.e., first time registrants) that register for the Diamond 30 will benefit from an evaluation period of 4 weeks during which they can choose to withdraw from the program but after which they will be committed for the remainder of the academic year. Other packages do not benefit from this possibility. (Students on installment may receive an invoice corresponding to the fee schedule below

During and only during the evaluation period, lesson fees will be refunded according to the following schedule.

Refunds are subject to a $25 processing fee:

One week before the first lesson – 100% of total lesson fees
During the first two weeks – 75% of total lesson fees
During the third week – 50% of total lesson fees
During the fourth week – 25% of total lesson fees
After the fourth week – No Refund, No Exception

Returning Students or smaller packages registrants, lesson fees refunds are permitted only for moving out of the area or for prolonged illness or injury*, which will require a doctor’s note.

No evaluation period available for returning students.

*Provided that online lessons are not possible. (See sick days policy below)

 

MISSING LESSONS AND MAKE UPS:

When the teacher is unavailable or ill, all missed classes will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed upon time or moved online at the discretion of the teacher. If the lessons are not rescheduled by the end of the registered period, you can ask for a refund or a credit, but the final decision will rest with the teacher.

All credits must be requested in writing 4 weeks prior to end of registered period . No refund will be given after the end of registered period.

the following WILL NOT BE MADE UP UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:

Forgetting the lesson time and/or day,
Missing a scheduled make up lesson,
Sleep over, school parties,
PERSONAL VACATIONS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL SCHEDULED VACATIONS.

However, the teacher may agree to reschedule a lesson the student missed if sufficient notice is given AND the absence justified. It will always be at the discretion of the teacher.

Special events like your own (only) birthday party, concerts, sport competitions, MAY BE made up if the schedule allows it, and ONLY ONCE  per academic year. Choose wisely!

SICK DAYS

Please don’t show up to an in-person lesson while sick or showing any symptoms.  If the student exhibits any infectious symptoms (viral or bacterial) the lesson will be moved immediately to an online platform if feasible. Teacher may reschedule if possible at a mutually agreed upon time.

BEHAVIOUR: 

Harassment or intimidation will not be tolerated. Teachers are not responsible for the policies of the school and do not have possibilities to influence the administrative decisions. Please direct all requests to the administration.  Any  verbal abuse directed to a teacher will result in the immediate dismissal of the student without refunds of lessons.
